Here’s a nativity scene done in nesting boxes. As is usual, Mary Cate drew the design, and I turned it into wood.
The tops and bottoms are maple, the sides are oak, and the 2nd layer of the lid (the positive space of the pictures) is mahogany.

Four more oval basket boxes: a heraldic goat, a Welsh dragon, the BYU football logo (for my father-in-law), and another dragon.
